Automation is supplied in both battery back up and normal 220 volt motors. Either way we highly recommend having a lightning and voltage surge protection kit fitted – this will protect the PC board attached to the motor in the event of a local lightning strike. The majority of times we have been called out to repair a motor has been the result of an unprotected motor in a thunder storm. In order to ensure that you do not get caught unawares, we will make sure that you know how to disengage and re-engage the motor, should such an event occur.
